General

Do I need an account to use SiteQuest?

Yes. You need to sign in to use SiteQuest. Signing up also enables cloud sync and Pro features.

Is SiteQuest available on mobile?

SiteQuest is currently available on Windows and macOS only. iOS and Android are not supported.

How do I update SiteQuest?

SiteQuest updates automatically. You can also check for updates manually in Settings > About.

Features

Can I change the default search engine?

Yes, if you have a Pro subscription. Go to Settings > Search to choose from Bing, Google, DuckDuckGo, or Yahoo.

How do I use the AI without internet?

Install Ollama and a local model, then switch to Local AI in Settings. See the Local AI guide for setup steps.

What happens to my companions if I stop using SiteQuest?

Your companion progress is saved to your account. When you come back, your unlocked pets and streak data are restored.

Account & Billing

How do I cancel my subscription?

Go to your account page and follow the cancellation instructions. Your Pro features remain active until the end of the billing period.

Can I switch from Free to Pro?

Yes. Subscribe to Pro from your account page to unlock premium features immediately.

What's Plus Lite?

Plus Lite is a temporary upgrade earned through consistent streak activity. It's not a paid tier — it's a reward for regular use.

Troubleshooting

SiteQuest won't start, what do I do?

Try restarting your computer. If that doesn't work, reinstall SiteQuest from the website.

The sidebar disappeared, how do I get it back?

Press your toggle shortcut to bring it back. The default is Ctrl+Space on Windows. On macOS, use your configured toggle shortcut (check Settings > Shortcuts). If you haven't set one, open SiteQuest from the tray icon.

My data isn't syncing across computers

Make sure you're signed in with a Pro account on all devices and have an internet connection.

I can't sign in

Reset your password from the sign-in screen, or try signing in with Google.
