## Quick Start

**Hotkey:** `Cmd + Space` (macOS) / `Ctrl + Space` (Windows)

Press the hotkey anywhere — the SiteQuest overlay appears over your current app. Browse the web, use AI, complete quests, translate pages, and more. Press the hotkey again and it vanishes.

### Installation

1. Download from https://sitequest.qzz.io/
2. Open the installer and follow the prompts
3. Launch SiteQuest and complete the onboarding tour
4. Press `Cmd+Space` / `Ctrl+Space` to summon the overlay

## Features

### Sidebar & Browsing
The sidebar is the heart of SiteQuest. It sits on the right side of the screen (configurable to left) and provides quick access to saved sites, tools, and settings. Browse the web directly inside the overlay without leaving your current application.

- **Saved Sites** — Keep favourite sites one click away (Free: 2, Plus Lite: 10, Pro: unlimited)
- **Browsing Sessions** — Free: 1 session; Pro: up to 10 concurrent sessions
- **Default Search Engine** — Free: Bing; Plus: Google/DDG/Bing/Perplexity; Pro: any custom engine

### AI Features
Two AI modes work together: Local AI (100% offline, private, free) and SiteQuest Cloud AI.

- **Ask AI** — Chat with your active webpage to get immediate answers. Understand content, summarise articles, ask questions about what you're reading.
- **AI Enhance** — Modify, polish, or rewrite text directly in input fields without switching tabs. Select text, press a hotkey, and transform it.
- **Local AI** — 100% local processing via Ollama. Free, private, no usage limits. Works offline.
- **Cloud AI** — Built-in AI service. Plus: 25 requests/day; Pro: unlimited requests.
- **AI Tags** — Auto-generated tags for saved sites
- **Prompt Library** — Save and reuse custom prompts

One-click page translation supporting 18 languages. Translate entire webpages and user interface elements instantly.

### Privacy & Security
- **Incognito Mode** — Secure, anonymous sessions. Instantly clears cookies, history, and cache on tab close. (Free: unavailable; Plus/Pro: available)

- **Companions (Pets)** — Collectible characters that live in your sidebar. Each has its own personality. Unlock by completing quests, hitting streak milestones, or exploring new features.
- **Streaks** — Build daily usage streaks. A 7-day streak unlocks Plus Lite status.
- **Plus Lite** — Temporary earned status (not a paid tier). Unlocks up to 10 saved sites for free users.

### Customization
- **Themes** — Light, Dark, and System themes. Available on all tiers.
- **Accent Colors** — Free: Purple only; Plus: preset colours; Pro: all colours + custom hex.
- **Sidebar Position** — Left or right. All tiers.
